How It Started

HereRicky® was born out of years of trial, error, and love.
It began with Winston, my first English Bulldog. Like many pet owners, I followed guidance I believed was right—only to learn that not every ingredient works for every dog. What followed were countless hours of research, vet visits, food trials, and a deeper understanding of how significantly diet can impact a dog’s comfort and well-being.

Over the years, I rescued and raised bulldogs, each with their own feeding challenges. Then came Ricky—a Staffordshire Terrier/English Bulldog mix rescued from a difficult situation and now thriving. Like Winston, Ricky experienced persistent food sensitivities, and once again I found myself navigating labels, ingredients, elimination diets, and trying to understand what truly worked.

Those experiences revealed a frustrating truth:
Finding the right food for your dog can feel far harder than it should be.
